The Jefferson County Plan Commission acknowledges after-the-fact, that the commercial solar application fee structure approved in the recently amended ordinance is woefully insufficient – oops! Better late than never. Another technical committee is being formed to revisit the fee structure.

While they’re at it, they also need to address a separate ordinance for all the safety and fire concerns associated with battery energy storage systems (BESS) and data centers which was entirely omitted from the latest UDO. Is this a sin of omission or commission?
